Biography

Danny Michel, born January 31, 1970, in Ontario, Canada, is a singer-songwriter and producer. In 2003, Danny Michel released Tales from the Invisible Man. He was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the Canadian Juno Awards that same year. His album Black Birds are Dancing Over Me (2013), recorded with the Garifuna Collective in Belize, was nominated for a Juno Award in the world music category and long-listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Danny Michel also created the Danny Michel Ocean Academy Fund, raising over $125,000 USD for the Caye Caulker Community School.
