Biography

Devils Brigade is an American rock band formed in 2000 as a side project by Matt Freeman, bassist of Rancid. The band featured Freeman on lead vocals and double bass, incorporating elements of psychobilly into his usual punk rock repertoire. Devils Brigade debuted with the song "Vampire Girl" on the 2002 compilation album Give 'Em the Boot III. They released two subsequent singles, "Stalingrad" / "Psychos All Around Me" (2003) and "Vampire Girl" (2005), both through Rancid Records. In 2010, Devils Brigade recorded and released their eponymous debut album Devils Brigade, which included contributions from Tim Armstrong on guitar and DJ Bonebrake of X on drums. Following the release, the band toured the United States supporting Street Dogs from August through October 2010.
