Biography

Derribos Arias was a Spanish post-punk band formed in 1981 during La Movida Madrileña by Ignacio María Gasca Ajuña, known as Poch. Their unique sound blended post-punk, punk, and psychedelia with surrealistic humor. The group released notable singles and albums including "Branquias bajo el agua" (1982) and En la guía, en el listín (1983). In 1984, they released "Disco Pocho" before disbanding in 1987. Poch was diagnosed with Huntington's disease in the mid-1980s, leading to his death in 1998. Derribos Arias' legacy included post-breakup releases like CD (1996) and La Centralita de Informacion (2001).
