Biography
Dawn Tyler Watson, born in Manchester, England, is a Canadian blues and jazz singer. She emigrated to Canada as a child and grew up in Southwestern Ontario before studying jazz at Concordia University in Montreal. Her musical breakthrough came with the 2001 debut Ten Dollar Dress with the Dawn Tyler Blues Project. She collaborated repeatedly with guitarist Paul Deslauriers on En Duo (2007) and Southland (2013), before releasing the solo albums Jawbreaker! (2016) and Mad Love (2019); the latter earned her the 2020 Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year.
