Biography
Dawn of Disease is a German death metal band formed in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, in 2003 by vocalist Tomasz Wisniewski, guitarist Alex Miletic, bassist Sven Surendorf, and drummer Sebastian Timper. The group released their debut EP Through Bloodstained Eyes in 2004. After touring with bands such as Vader and Suffocation, Dawn of Disease disbanded in 2007 due to lineup changes. In spring 2009, Wisniewski and drummer Mathias Blässe reformed the band, joined by guitarists Lukas Kerk and Oliver Kirchner, and bassist Michael Wächter. They released their first studio album Legends of Brutality in 2011 under NoiseArt Records. The band continued to release albums including Crypts of the Unrotten (April 2012), Worship the Grave (June 2016) on Napalm Records, and Ascension Gate (August 2017). In November 2019, they released their final studio album Procession of Ghosts. Dawn of Disease disbanded in 2020 following Wisniewski's departure to focus on Nyktophobia.
