Dario Campeotto, born on February 1, 1939, in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, was a Danish singer and actor of Italian origin. He began his career as a singer and gained significant recognition when he won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 1961 with "Angelique", which he performed at the Eurovision Song Contest that year. Throughout his career, Campeotto released several albums, including Dario (1961), Dario i dag (1972), and Love is in the Air (2001). In addition to his music career, he was also known for his acting roles in films such as Eventyrrejsen (1960) and Peters baby (1961). Campeotto passed away on April 1, 2023.
