Danielle Johnson (born February 20, 1989), known professionally as Danz CM and formerly Computer Magic, is an American record producer, singer-songwriter, and composer. Raised in the Catskill Mountains, Johnson began a musical career at age 21 after moving to Florida, where she taught herself to produce using Ableton Live and recorded the debut song âRunningâ. Johnson returned to New York City in 2010 and released several EPs, including Hiding From Our Time and Spectronic. Her debut studio album, Davos, was released on October 16, 2015, via her own label, Channel 9 Records. Johnsonâs discography included the singles âBe Fairâ and âFuzzâ. In August 2020, she adopted the moniker Danz CM, subsequently releasing the albums The Absurdity of Human Existence (2021) and Berlin Tokyo Shopping Mall Elevator (2023). Johnson also established the media brand Synth History and composed scores for films including The Map (2020) and While Mortals Sleep (2022).
