Biography
Dallas Brian Good (born Mayâ¯22,â¯1973, in Richmondâ¯Hill, Ontario) was a Canadian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. After playing in Toronto punk outfits such as Blibber and the Rat Crushers and Satanatras, he coâfounded the altâcountry rock band The Sadies in 1994. The Sadies released Favourite Colours (1998), New Seasons (2007), Darker Circles (2010), and Colder Streams (2022), the last produced after Dallas Goodâs sudden death. Dallas Goodâs 2011 injury inspired the album Internal Sounds, whose cover featured an Xâray of his broken leg. He collaborated with Gord Downie, Neil Young, and Rick White, and worked on the unfinished project The Watchtower with Arcade Fireâs Richard Reed Parry. Dallas Good died Februaryâ¯17,â¯2022, of natural causes at 48. Ultimately, Richard Reed Parry completed the project on his own and released it under the title Were "The Watchtowers" in April 2026.â
