Crooked Fingers is an American indie rock band, led by Eric Bachmann. Formed in 1998 following the breakup of Archers of Loaf, Crooked Fingers served as a vehicle for Bachmann's songwriting. The band released their self-titled debut album Crooked Fingers on WARM Records in 2000 and followed it with Bring On The Snakes. They contributed to Badlands: A Tribute to Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, and signed to Merge Records, releasing the EP Reservoir Songs in 2002. Their first full-length album for Merge was Red Devil Dawn (2003), followed by Dignity And Shame (2005). The band toured extensively across North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, both as a solo act and with a full band. In 2008, they released Forfeit/Fortune independently, and returned to Merge Records for Breaks in the Armor (2011). Crooked Fingers disbanded in January 2016 after two farewell shows in New York City and Durham, NC. After a fifteen year break, the band returned with the album Swet Deth in 2026.
