Biography
Blue Rodeo is a Canadian country-rock band formed in 1984 in Toronto, Ontario, by Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor. Their breakthrough came with the debut album Outskirts (1987), whose single âTryâ reached Number 1 on the RPM Country Tracks chart, peaked at number 6 on the RPM Top Singles chart, and earned the album 4Ã Platinum status. Subsequent releases include Diamond Mine (1989), Casino (1990), Lost Together (1992), Five Days in July (1993), Nowhere to Here (1995), Tremolo (1997), The Days in Between (2000), Palace of Gold (2002), Are You Ready (2005), Small Miracles (2007), The Things We Left Behind (2009), In Our Nature (2013), A Merrie Christmas to You (2014), 1000 Arms (2016), and Many a Mile (2021). The members collaborated with Sarah McLachlan and The Tragically Hip, toured extensively, received a star on Canada's Walk of Fame on September 12, 2009, were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on April 1, 2012, and earned a Governor General's Performing Arts Award in May 2014. Additionally, Cuddy and Keelor were inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2024.
