Ashida Daisuke, known professionally as DABO, was born on 6 January 1975 in Japan and emerged as a prominent rap singer. After early collaborations with Shakkazombie on "Tomo ni ikkÅ" and joining Nitro Microphone Underground in 1997, he released his first single "Mr. Fudatzkee" in 1999. DABOâs breakthrough came in 2001 when he signed with Defâ¯Jam Japan, becoming the first Japanese artist to join the American label, and released the album "PLATINUMâ¯TONGUE", which peaked at number 15 on the Oricon charts. Subsequent releases followed a steady rhythm: "Hitman" (2002), "Diamond" (2003), the EP "6â¯Bullets" (2004), and "THEâ¯FORCE" (2006). His 2006 single "ãã¯ããã¸ãã³ã°" achieved significant radio play, and he contributed the track "Lexxxusgucci" to the Fast and Furious soundtrack. In 2004DABO founded Baby Mario Production, releasing "B.M.W.â¯âBABYâ¯MARIOâ¯WORLDâ vol.1" and later "I'm the Best" (2009) and "HIâFIVE" (2010). Throughout his career, DABO maintained a presence in the Japanese hipâhop scene, collaborating with artists such as Zeebra and Namie Amuro.
