Biography
Cypecore, a German melodic death metal band from Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, was formed in 2007 by Attila Erdélyi, Nils Lesser, Lucas Amadeus Buttendorf, Christoph Rogdakis and Christoph Heckel. The group's debut album, Innocent, was released in 2008, followed by Take the Consequence in 2010. Cypecore's music is characterized by its industrial influences and a conceptual narrative set in a post-apocalyptic future. The band's third album, Identity, was released in 2016, marking a shift with a new vocalist and an expanded storyline. Their fourth studio album, The Alliance, followed in 2018. Tragically, bassist Christoph "Desolator" Heckel passed away on October 29, 2018, due to cancer. Despite this loss, Cypecore continued their career, performing at Hellfest in 2019 and releasing the single "Make Me Real" in April 2024, with the album of the same name scheduled for May 2024.
