Cory Dale Branan is an American singer and songwriter who was born in 1974 in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up in Southaven, Mississippi, and was influenced by gospel and rock music. After moving to Memphis, he began writing songs and performing at open mic nights. His debut studio album, The Hell You Say, was released in 2002 through Madjack Records. Branan made his national television debut in 2003 performing the song âMiss Fergusonâ on The Late Show with David Letterman. After signing with Bloodshot Records, he released the albums Mutt (2012), The No-Hit Wonder (2014), and Adios (2017). The No-Hit Wonder was later recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the top 40 country albums of 2014. His later recordings include the studio album When I Go I Ghost (2022), which featured the single âThat Look I Lostâ (2022).
