Ètefan Mihalache aka Connect-R, born 9â¯Juneâ¯1982 in Bucharest, Romania, is a rapper, songwriter, producer, singer and actor. He started dancing at eight, joined Primavara, and began hipâhop vocal training at fifteen, releasing his first single "Observ" in 1997 with Gigantii. In 2000 he joined R.A.C.L.A., contributing to the albums PÄtratul RoÈu and Dexteritate. He represented Moldova at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with "Loca" alongside Arsenium and Natalia Gordienco, becoming the contestâs first rap act. His solo albums include DacÄ dragostea dispare (2008), From Nothing to Something (2012) and Ãnapoi la zero (2021). The single "Burning Love" reached Number 1 in Romania and earned him the 2010 Romanian Music Award for Best Song. In 2026, he collaborated with Smiley and Alex Velea on Anii în care nu dormim and released the hit "Izabela", which reached number 4 on Romanian Singles chart.
