Clareou, also known as Grupo Clareou, formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2010 and built its profile in Brazilâs pagode circuit with a catalog that leaned heavily into live recording energy and singalong refrains. The groupâs early discography included the live set Grupo Clareou (Ao Vivo) (2010), followed by Tudo de Bom (Ao Vivo) (2013), which helped establish its âroda de sambaâ identity on streaming platforms. In mid-2015, Clareou expanded beyond the live-only framing with Vou Vencer and then revisited that era with Vou Vencer (Deluxe Edition) (2016). The group doubled down on its stage-first approach with Roda de Samba do Clareou (Ao Vivo) (2017), a project tied to some of its most-circulated tracks, and it kept collaborations in the mix with the single âPosso Te Chamar de Môâ featuring Belo (2018). In 2019, Clareou released the showcase-style Grupo Clareou no Estúdio Showlivre (Ao Vivo) and later the lengthy live set Daora (Ao Vivo). The bandâs lineup evolved as Branco joined in 2020, and in February 2024 the group publicly announced vocalist Magalâs departure while continuing activities with Branco, Fernando Mellete, Buiu, and Juninho de Jesus. In the 2020s, Clareou scaled up its live âblockâ concept with Vai Clarear (Ao Vivo) (2022), released âPerdeu Pra Cerveja (Ao Vivo)â with Filipe Escandurras (2022), issued Modo Avançado (2022), and then documented the event format with Do Nada Clareou (Ao Vivo) (2023). The run continued with the CLAREOU ATEMPORAL live EP series in 2024â2025, the single âCoragem (Ao Vivo)â with Manda (2024), a 2025 collaboration single with Grupo Revelação (âà Hoje Que Eu Chego Amanhã / Perdeu Pra Cerveja (Ao Vivo)â) and the anniversary live release Clareou 15 Anos - Bloco Valeu Pra Aprender (Ao Vivo) (2025), while the group remained active.
