Biography

Circleslide (formed 1999, in Nashville) is an American Christian alternative rock ensemble. The group was founded by lead vocalist Gabe Martinez, bass guitarist Eric Vickers, lead guitarist Jonathan DeAnda, and drummer Lee Yoder. Former members included Tim Martinez, Aaron Gillies, Mark Alvis, and Tim Sedlock. The recording career began with the EP Connectology (2004), followed by A Sacred Turn: Worship Vol. 1 (2005). In 2005, the ensemble received an Independent Music Award in the Contemporary Christian category for the song "Home". The debut studio album, Uncommon Days, was released on 11 July 2006 through Centricity Music. Circleslide gained recognition as a Best New Artist of 2006 from Christianity Today. Subsequent releases included the digital EP Above the Stratosphere: The B Sides (2007) and the second studio album, Echoes of the Light, released on 5 October 2010 by Save the City Records.
