Biography
Christina Stürmer (born 9 June 1982 in Linz, Oberösterreich) is an Austrian pop-pock singer who achieved fame across German-speaking countries with several albums. She started her career with the release of her recorded debut in 2003, after placing second in the television talent show Starmania. Freier Fall was followed by one album every year including Schwarz Weiss (2005), Lebe Lauter: Live (2007), In Dieser Stadt (2009) and Nahaufnahme (2010). Her 2013 release Ich hör Auf main Herz went to number four on the German Albums Chart. Gestern. Heute: Best Of (2015) reached number eight and Seite an Seite (2016) peaked at number two. Her 2018 release Ãberall Zu Hause hit number four. She has appeared on the TV talent shows The Best Singers and It Takes 2 in Germany and won regional music awards. Christina Stürmer welcomed a new album release in 2024: MTV Unplugged in Wien. The LP peaked at number one in Austria.
