Biography

Charles Christopher Sligh, also known as Chris Sligh, born on April 13, 1978, in Madison, Tennessee, was an American singer, songwriter, producer, and pastor. Raised by Baptist missionary parents Chuck and Susan Sligh, he began singing in high school after growing up with classical music. His first band, Half Past Forever, released the album Take a Chance on Something Beautiful in 2007. Sligh gained national attention as a finalist on the sixth season of American Idol, finishing in tenth place after being eliminated on March 28, 2007. Following his appearance on American Idol, Sligh signed with Brash Music and released his debut solo album Running Back to You in 2008, which included the single "Empty Me". He has continued to release music independently, including the EP Christmas EP (2009) and the album The Anatomy Of Broken (2010).
