Biography

Chickenpox was a Swedish ska band formed in 1994. The group signed with Burning Heart Records and released its debut EP, Dinnerdance and Latenightmusic, that same year. In 1995, the band released the EP Juvenile Gangster on Rugger Bugger Discs. In 1996, the ensemble released its first full-length album, At Mickey Cohen's Thursdaynight Pokergame, which featured the single “Anything You Say”. The band followed this with the 1998 album Stay Away from the Windows and the single “Truth of Our Time”. The group released its final studio album, Approved by the Chickenpox, in 2001. Most of the band's recordings were released through the Burning Heart label. The ensemble disbanded in 2002.
