Cherona, a German pop band formed in 2009, consisted of Vicky Chassioti, David Petters, Milla Chernysheva, and Enrico Yakubu Bade. The group gained prominence through the Star-Tagebuch on Super RTL, where they were featured from April to July 2009. Their journey began with a band casting in December 2008 across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, culminating in the selection of the final members in Cologne. Cherona's debut single "Ching Chang Chong" was released on April 24, 2009, peaking at Number 36 in Germany. The band's first album, Sound of Cherona, produced by Mark Nissen, Annett, and Hardy Krechâknown for their work with Highland and the Hermes House Bandâfollowed in June 2009. Notable tracks from the album include "Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song", a cover version of the Passion Fruit song, released as a single on July 13, 2009. The band was nominated for the Echo Award in the category Newcomer of the Year (national) at the Echoverleihung 2010. Cherona's final public appearance was at the Echoverleihung in March 2010, after which the band disbanded.
