Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock ensemble from Aarhus established in 1999. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by electronic rock and for a name representing the contrast between edges and stars. The ensemble was founded on July 28, 1999, by the vocalist and guitarist Lau Højen, the bassist and claviériste Søren Balsner, and the drummer Morten Thorhauge. Carpark North achieved professional recognition for a career that began after the members met at Mellerup Efterskole. Their recording career began with the debut eponymous studio recording Carpark North (2003), which reached Number 1 in the Danish charts. Carpark North achieved professional recognition for the studio recording All Things to All People (2005), which reached number 4 in Denmark. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the song "Homeland" (2005) being featured in the television program Alias and the song "Human" (2005) appearing in the video game FIFA 08. Their discography included the studio recording Lost (2010) and the compilation recording Best Days (Greatest & Live) (2010). Carpark North achieved professional recognition for receiving a Danish Music Award for video of the year in 2006 for the song "Human" and the Zulu Award for newcomer of the year in 2003. Their recording career included the studio recording Air (2025).
