Carly Binding, born February 2, 1978, in Tauranga, New Zealand, is a singer. She began her music career as a member of TrueBliss, a girl group formed through the television show Popstars in April 1999. With TrueBliss, she released their debut single "Tonight", which reached Number 1 on the New Zealand charts and was certified platinum. In 2000, Binding left TrueBliss to pursue a solo career. Her first solo single, "Alright With Me (Taking It Easy)", peaked at number 10 in July 2002. She released her debut album Passenger in 2003, which reached number 6 on the New Zealand charts and went gold. Binding supported various artists, including Ronan Keating, Paul Kelly, and Bryan Adams, during their tours.
