Biography

Canon Blue is an electronic music group based in Nashville, Tennessee and founded by Daniel James, who served as the artist and producer. Canon Blue's debut album Colonies was released on September 17, 2007, via Rumraket Records, mixed by Chris Taylor and mastered by Cristian Vogel. In June 2011, Canon Blue opened for several shows featuring Foster the People, and their song "Indian Summer (Des Moines)" was highlighted as NPR's Song of the Day on October 28, 2011. The group's second album, Rumspringa, was also produced by Rumraket and released on August 29, 2011, featuring collaborations with Chris Taylor, Amiina, and Slaraffenland. In 2017, Canon Blue released their third album, Lasso Yo, through Temporary Residence.
