Biography

Brandsta City Släckers is a Swedish band formed in 1994, composed of firefighters. The group includes Glenn Borgkvist on vocals, Mats Nilsson on guitar and backing vocals, Ulf Johansson on bass guitar and backing vocals, Olle Östberg on keyboard and backing vocals, and Tom Börjesson on drums and backing vocals. The band's initial breakthrough came with the release of their self-titled EP Brandsta City Släckers in 1995. They gained significant attention by participating in Melodifestivalen 2002, Sweden's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, where they performed "Kom och Ta Mig" and received the third highest vote from the televoting audience. The following year, they returned to Melodifestivalen with "15 minuter". Throughout their career, Brandsta City Släckers released several albums including En Riktig Man (1999), Leka Med Elden (2001), Rök`n Roll (2002), and 15 Minuter (2003). Following several non-album releases, Brandsta City Släckers obtained another success in 2026 with "Rakt in i elden", which reached number 64 on the Sverigetopplistan chart.
