Biography

Jon Ragel (born in Portland, Oregon), performing as Boy Eats Drum Machine, is an American rock and electronic musician, vocalist, and disc jockey. Ragel performed as a multi-instrumentalist using the phonograph, Music Production Center, and saxophone. He launched his recording career in 2001. In 2006, Ragel released his debut studio album, Pleasure, through the label Tender Loving Empire. His discography featured the albums Two Ghosts (2007), Booomboxxx (2008), and Hoop + Wire (2010). That same year, he released the recording 20 Beats. Subsequent works included the albums The Battle (2012) and M1 (2014). Ragel also offered the EP freep through his official website. In 2014, Ragel relocated from Portland to Santa Cruz. His musical work integrated percussive elements with pop and rock structures.
