Biography
Robert Maurice Meloon, also known as Bob Malone, was born on December 2, 1965, in Irvington, New Jersey, and is an American musician known for his roles as a keyboardist, singer, and songwriter. He began playing piano at age nine and started his music career forming his first band, High Altitude, during high school. While still attending Berklee College of Music, Malone formed Bob Meloon & The Big Argument, releasing their debut album First Flash of Success in 1988. In 1990, he moved to Los Angeles and adopted the name Bob Malone. He released his first solo album, The Darkest Part of the Night, in 1997 with Chartmaker Records. Notable collaborations include touring with John Fogerty and Avril Lavigne. His version of "Youâre a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" was used in the promotion for the 2018 film The Grinch. His 2021 album Good People reached Number 1 on the Roots Music Report Soft Rock and New Jersey radio charts, number 11 on the Rock chart, and debuted at number 15 on the IBBA charts.
