Billy Flynn, born on August 11, 1956 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter known for his contributions to Chicago blues and electric blues. Flynn's musical journey began at a local blues club that opened in 1970, where he was inspired by performances from Luther Allison, Johnny Littlejohn, and Mighty Joe Young. A pivotal moment came when Jimmy Dawkins spotted Flynn playing outside the venue, leading to an invitation to play with Dawkins on stage. Flynn joined Dawkins's backing band in 1975 and toured with them until the end of the decade. He also worked locally during this period and played alongside Sunnyland Slim. In the early 1980s, he was part of Jim Liban and the Futuramics touring ensemble. Later in the 1980s, he joined the Legendary Blues Band and also played with Mississippi Heat. Flynn released his solo album Lonesome Highway on March 31, 2017.
