Biography

Big Sugar was a Canadian rock band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 1988 by Gordie Johnson, the band's lead singer, lead guitarist, and main songwriter. The group released their album Five Hundred Pounds in 1993, followed by Hemi‑Vision in 1996, Heated in 1998, and Brothers And Sisters, Are You Ready? in 2001. The band reunited at the Telus World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler, B.C. on April 23, 2010 after a hiatus and continued touring again. Throughout their career, Big Sugar earned several awards and nominations and became a notable presence in the Canadian music scene.
