Biography
Big Joanie is a British punk trio formed in London in 2013 by Stephanie Phillips. The original lineup included Chardine Taylor-Stone on drums and Kiera Coward-Deyell on bass guitar. Their first release was the EP Sistah Punk in 2014, followed by Crooked Room in 2016. Estella Adeyeri joined as bassist in 2017 after Coward-Deyell moved to Scotland. Big Joanie's first album, Sistahs, was released on November 30, 2018, through Daydream Library Series and received positive reviews from outlets such as The Guardian and Rolling Stone. Their second album, Back Home, was released on November 4, 2022. On October 5, 2023, Big Joanie announced that Taylor-Stone had left the band.
