Biography
beNUTS is a German ska band from Munich formed in 1994 by Daniel Mauss and Pedro Steffan. They released their debut album Three Tone S'kaa (1996) on Artysan Records. They gained traction through live performances in South Germany and quickly expanded internationally due to their multilingual lyrics. They released the album Captain Rude (1998) on Artysan Records before signing with Wolverine Records, releasing albums such as Nutty by Nature (2001) and Sex Sells (2004). They toured extensively across Europe, including notable shows with Bad Manners and Ska-P. In 2005, they performed in Russia and Serbia for the first time. They released the EP A Fistful of Offbeat (2005) and their live album Best of... Live! (2006), featuring new singer Konrad Wissmath. They released the album Bavarian Ska Maniacs (2007) and their seventh album, Shut Up and Dance (2009). After a period of lineup changes, including the return of former singer Silvester, they celebrated their 20-year anniversary in 2015.
