Biography

Beethoven's Wig is an American vocal group created by Richard Perlmutter, who sings lyrics written to classical music. The group debuted in 2002 with Beethoven's Wig: Sing Along Symphonies, which reached number 6 on a multinational technology platform's Hot 100 Sales Chart and held the Number 1 position on both the Classical and Children's Music Sales Charts for four months. The album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Album for Children and a Parent's Choice Award. Beethoven's Wig continued with Beethoven's Wig 2: More Sing Along Symphonies in 2004, followed by Beethoven's Wig 3: Many More Sing Along Symphonies in 2006, Beethoven's Wig 4: Dance Along Symphonies in 2008 and Beethoven's Wig: Sing Along Piano Classics in 2011. The group has received four Parents' Choice Awards and three American Library Association Notable Recordings, totaling over 46 national awards.
