Become One was a German pop band formed in 2003, consisting of six members who were selected through the casting process of Fame Academy, the German edition of Star Academy. The show aired on RTL II and was hosted by Nova Meierhenrich. Become One's debut single "Don't Need Your Alibis" was released in December 2003 following their victory on the reality television series. Produced by Michael Kersting, the track reached Number 16 on the German Official Singles Chart, remaining there for nine weeks, and also gained traction in Switzerland and Austria. The band's debut album 1 was released in January 2004, peaking at Number 24 on the German albums chart with a four-week stay. A subsequent single "Come Clean" failed to replicate the success of their debut track. In July 2004, after a series of concerts concluding at Freizeit-Land Geiselwind near Nuremberg, Become One announced their disbandment. Following the split, several members pursued other musical ventures. Ji-In Cho joined Krypteria in December 2004 and later became part of And Then She Came, while Sedat Türüc formed the duo Meant 2 Be with Gunther Göbbel before launching a solo career in Turkey under the mononym Sedat.
