Barbara Schöneberger (born 5â¯Marchâ¯1974 in Munich, Germany) is a German television presenter, actress, and singer whose career began after studies in sociology, communication science and art history. Her breakthrough in music came with the 2007 single "Männer muss man loben" from her debut album Jetzt singt sie auch nochâ¦! (released 16â¯Novemberâ¯2007). In 2008 she issued the single "Zu Hässlich Für München", followed by the 2009 album Nochmal, Nur Anders (25â¯Septemberâ¯2009) which explored 1970s disco sounds. The 2012 release Bekannt Aus Funk Und Fernsehen (25â¯Octoberâ¯2012) reflected on her dual life as a TV host and housewife, while Eine Frau gibt Auskunft (11â¯Mayâ¯2018) presented diverse female perspectives with a playful critique of the male world. Throughout her discography, Schöneberger has collaborated with the Berlin Pops Orchestra and released singles such as "Herr Kaiser" (4â¯Aprilâ¯2014). Her work has earned multiple German television awards, including the Bambi (2016) and the Deutscher Fernsehpreis for Best Moderation (2023).
