Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, an American musical collective, became active in 2001. The group included former members of Catch 22 and featured classically trained musicians with influences ranging from ska to punk and classical music. Their debut release was an EP titled A Call To Arms, self-released in late 2001, which included the track "Dear Sergio". The band quickly sold out their initial run and made the EP available for free on their website, later re-releasing it in CD-DA format. Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution was primarily a side project for its members, who were also involved with Streetlight Manifesto.
