Biography

Bailey & Keely is a contemporary British folk duo formed by Saul Bailey (accordion, melodeon, concertina) and Mitch Keely (violin, viola). The Oxford-based duo met at traditional music and dance festivals and discovered a shared taste for the various English, Scottish, Irish and European folk styles, which they interpret in their own way, in modern arrangements conducive to improvisation. The result was their first self-produced album, Atthomis (2024), featuring original compositions. In 2026, Bailey & Keely expanded their repertoire of covers and creations on their second album Balbum.
