Biography

Asturiana Mining Company (AMC), an Asturian folk band, was formed in 1998 by musician/producer/promoter Michael Lee Wolfe. Their debut album Patrimoniu, released in 2000, blended Asturian folklore and blues influences. The group collaborated with Anabel Santiago on several albums, including Canta A Diamantina Rodríguez (2005). In 2012, their album Sones por Berto Velasco honored luthier Berto Velasco. The song "Si Nun Conoces Val.louta" from this album won the Premiu al Meyor Cantar in 2012 and received the Premiu del Públicu at the Liet International festival the same year.
