Hazel Pascual Reyes, known professionally as Ara Mina-Almarinez, was a Filipino actress and singer born on May 9, 1979, in Mandaluyong, Philippines. She grew up in Marikina and began her career at 14 through the youth-oriented program That's Entertainment. Her stage name combines elements from her sisters' real first names: Ara and Mina. She signed with Viva Entertainment and released her debut album Ara Mina in 1999 under Star Music, which included the hit song "Ay, Ay, Ay, Pag-Ibig". Her second album, Heavenly, was released in 2001.
