Antidoping, a Mexican reggae band, was formed in the summer of 1992 in Mexico City by Pedro and Manuel Apodaca. The group began their career in Coyoacán, quickly becoming an active member of the Razteca reggae movement. Their music was a unique fusion of roots reggae, ska, and Caribbean rhythms with an urban flavor. The band's debut album, Búscalo, was released in 1996, followed by Un lustro inyectando ruido positivo (1999), which included notable tracks like "Mar" and "Planeta". The band toured extensively across Europe and North America, sharing the stage with prominent artists including Israel Vibrations and Alpha Blondy. Their 2002 album, Antidoping en San Cris, featured hits like "Whatta Life" and "Chachaska/Como Hacer Saber", and in 2004, they released Esfuerzo universal, which included tracks like "Medicina" and "Pipiltin".
