Biography

Anna Maria Jopek is a Polish vocalist, songwriter, and improviser whose career gained international momentum after representing Poland in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest with "Ale jestem." Her debut album, Ale jestem (1997), achieved gold status, marking the start of a prolific discography that includes Bosa (2000), Secret (2005), and ID (2007). Renowned for blending jazz with Polish folk, Jopek has collaborated with global icons such as Pat Metheny on Upojenie (2002), Sting, and Branford Marsalis, with whom she recorded Ulotne (2018). Her artistry has been recognized with awards like Michel Legrand's Personal Award (1994) and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2015). A world-class performer, she has graced stages including Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.
