Andranik Madadian, known professionally as Andy, was born on April 22, 1958, in Iran and is an Armenian-Iranian singer-songwriter. He gained initial recognition as part of the duo Andy & Kouros with Kouros Shahmiri, releasing four albums together from 1985 to 1991. The duo split in 1992, and Madadian embarked on a successful solo career. His notable albums include Tanhaee (1994) and And My Heart... (2000). In 2002 and 2004, he reunited with Shahmiri for sold-out performances in San Jose, California. Madadian's collaborations include "Stand by Me" with Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi (2009), a humanitarian single "We Hear Your Voice" (2014) featuring 15 international stars, and duets with La Toya Jackson ("Tehran", 2016) and Khaled ("Salama So Good" 2019). In 2020, Madadian received the 2,684th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
