Domenic Marte (born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on 12 October 1983) is an American singer, songwriter, and producer of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. He began his career in 2004 with the bilingual bachata-pop single "Ven Tú", which peaked at number seven on Billboard Tropical Airplay and stayed on the chart for 34 weeks. He followed with the studio albums Intimamente (2004), Deseos de Amarte (2007), The Voice (2013), For the World (2015)âhis first full English bachata albumâand Al fin libre (2018). Notable tracks include "Muero De Celos" (number four on Tropical Airplay), "Como Quisiera" (number one on Tropical Songs Airplay), and "In My Eyes" (Monitor Latino US Tropical number one in 2020). He has earned nominations at Premio Loâ¯Nuestro and Billboard Latin Music Awards, received the City Proclamation Award and a key to Lawrence in 2024, and was the first US-based bachata artist to perform at Cubaâs Casa de la Música in 2023.
