Amenra is a Belgian post-metal ensemble from Kortrijk established in 1999. The group consists of the musicians Amy Tung Barrysmith, Lennart Bossu, Bjorn Lebon, Mathieu Vandekerckhove, and Colin H. van Eeckhout. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by brooding atmospheres and spiritual intensity rooted in doom metal and hardcore punk. The ensemble was founded by van Eeckhout, Vandekerckhove, and the musician Kristof Mondy. Their recording career began with the extended play Mass I: Prayer I-VI (2003) and the extended play Prayers 9+10 (2004). Amenra achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Mass III (2005) and the studio recording Mass V (2012). Their discography included the studio recording Mass VI (2017) which reached number 19 in Belgium. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording De Doorn (2021) which reached number 3 in Belgium and number 68 in Germany. Their recording career included the extended play De Toorn (2025) and the extended play With Fang and Claw (2025). Amenra achieved professional recognition for performing five consecutive sold-out shows at the venue Ancienne Belgique in 2025 and founding the artistic collective Church of Ra.
