Alkistis Protopsalti, born Alkistis-Sevasti Attikiouzeloglou on October 18, 1954 in Alexandria, Egypt to Greek parents, is a singer. In the early 1960s, she moved with her family to Athens due to political events in Egypt. Her music career began in the mid-1970s with the release of her first albums ΤεÏÏαλογία (1975), ÎÏÎºÎ»Î¿Ï Î£ÎµÏÎÏη (1976) and ÎÏγαÏική ΣÏ
μÏÏνία (1976). Subsequent albums include ÎÏλά ΤÏαγοÏδια (1977), ÎανιάÏικα (1980), and Σαν ÎÏαίÏÏειο ΠοÏ
ÎÏ
Ïνά (1997), which sold over 100,000 copies. She also collaborated with notable composers such as Elias Andriopoulos and Dionysis Savvopoulous. In addition to her musical achievements, Protopsalti served as the Deputy Minister for Tourism in the Caretaker Cabinet of Vassiliki Thanou-Christophilou in 2015.
