Manuel Alfredo Sánchez Luna, known as Alfredo Sadel, and born on February 22, 1930, in Caracas, Venezuela, was a singer-songwriter and actor. He began his musical career by participating in his school's choir and made his first public performance singing "Ave MarÃa" at the Caracas Cathedral. In 1948, he recorded his debut single with "Desesperación" and "Trenzas", though it never reached the market.
Sadel gained recognition with the pasodoble "El Diamante Negro" in 1949, which became a commercial success. His career took off internationally when he signed with RCA VÃctor and performed in New York and Los Angeles. He appeared on notable television shows such as the Ed Sullivan Show. Throughout his career, Sadel released albums including Con ardor, Sadel en el tiempo, and Sadel en la Opera. Alfredo Sadel passed away on June 28, 1989, in New York.
