Biography
VÃctor Manuel De Anda Iturbe, known professionally as VÃctor Yturbe and nicknamed "El PirulÃ," was born on May 8, 1936, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He began his career as a singer after working as a payaso acuático (water clown) in Acapulco. His first album, Noches en la Posada Vallarta, released in 1964, marked the start of his professional singing journey and included the popular track "Puerto Vallarta." Yturbe's breakthrough came with the song "Felicidad" by Armando Manzanero in 1969. Yturbe was known for his collaborations with ChamÃn Correa, El Primer Requinto de América. His life ended tragically on November 29, 1987, when he was assassinated at his home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, México.
