Agression, an American hardcore punk band from Silver Strand Beach, Oxnard, California, was formed by Mark Hickey, Henry Knowles, and Bob Clark. The trio initially gained attention as skaters before transitioning into music. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Intense Energy", "Dear John Letter" and "Rat Race" on BYO's compilation album Someone Got their Head Kicked In in 1982. Agression's debut album, Don't Be Mistaken, was released by BYO Records in 1983, showcasing their fast-paced skate punk style. The band went through multiple lineup changes and relocated to Denver, Colorado. Subsequent notable albums include Nowhere to Run (1996) and Live - Locals Only, Dick! (2005). Tragically, founding members Mark Hickey died in 2000 due to acute liver failure, and Henry Knowles passed away from leukemia in 2002.
