Adan Jodorowsky, known professionally as Adanowsky, born on October 29, 1979, in Mexico City, Mexico, is a French-Mexican musician, singer, and actor. He made his acting debut in 1989 in the film Santa Sangre, directed by his father Alejandro Jodorowsky, winning a Saturn Award in 1991. He began learning piano, bass, guitar, and drums at age 12. In 1995, he joined Nikola Acin's rock band, The Hellboys, as a bassist. Signed by Francis Dreyfus, he released his debut solo album, Ãtoile éternelle (2005), under the Motors label. He subsequently achieved success in South America after translating his music into Spanish, touring extensively and releasing the album El Idolo (2008). His breakthrough came with Amador (2010), produced by himself and Rob, keyboardist of the band Phoenix. The album won the UFI Award for Best International Artist of the Year and the Ãguila de Oro for Best Live Artist. His other musical releases include the album Ada (2014) and the single âDancing to the Radioâ (2014).
