Biography

Abbe Joanna May, born on July 19, 1983, in Subiaco, Australia, is a singer-songwriter and musician. She began her music career in Perth-based groups such as The Fuzz, Abbe May and the Rockin' Pneumonia, and The Devil & Abbe May. In 2002, while performing with The Fuzz, she achieved early success when their track "The Bomb" won Triple J's Unearthed competition. May released her debut solo album, Design Desire, in July 2011, followed by Kiss My Apocalypse in May 2013. She was nominated for Best Female Artist at the ARIA Music Awards of 2013 for the latter album. Throughout her career, she has won 21 West Australian Music Industry awards out of 27 nominations since 2008.
