Biography

Zoo Army, an alternative rock group from Munich, Germany, was formed on May 24, 2005. The band consisted of Gil Ofarim and Tal Ofarim on vocals and guitar/bass respectively, Dominik Scholz on drums, and Roland Söns on guitar. Gil Ofarim, who had already sold over five million records worldwide as a solo artist, was the driving force behind Zoo Army's formation. Their debut album, 507, was released on March 10, 2006, following their first live performance at WDR's Rockpalast in December 2005. The album included the single "I'm Alive", which was featured in the TV miniseries Die Sturmflut. Zoo Army embarked on a tour in March 2006 and performed at various festivals, including Bochum Total, and as an opening act for Gotthard. Dominik Scholz left the band in July 2008 due to personal reasons.
