Biography
Zonaria is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 2001 by Simon Berglund, Christoffer Vikström, and Mikael Hammarberg. Initially known as Seal Precious, they changed their name to Zonaria after adding second guitarist Emil Nyström. They released the demo Evolution Overdose (2005) and the song "Rendered in Vain" (2006). The band toured with Impaled Nazarene. Their debut album Infamy and the Breed was released in 2007 under Pivotal Rockordings. Zonaria signed with Century Media Records in 2008 and released the album The Cancer Empire (2008). They toured extensively with bands like Satyricon, Vader, and Septic Flesh. In 2012, they released their third album Arrival of the Red Sun. The band took a hiatus following 2012.
